The crew takes TVs down from standard wall mounts, and the bracket too if you want it gone. Patching the drywall afterward is up to you.

Note the mount type in your booking and the crew brings suitable tools.

Illinois Electronics Rules

On the Metro East side, the Illinois EPA says it is illegal to throw covered electronics — TVs, computers, monitors, printers, DVD players and game consoles among them — into regular household trash.

Illinois

The state’s Consumer Electronics Recycling Act, in effect since August 25, 2017 according to the Illinois EPA, routes those devices to registered recyclers. Belleville, Edwardsville and Alton pickups follow it.

City of St. Louis

Electronics are part of the City’s monthly collection for batteries, oil, appliances, tires and electronics, which means setting them out on the right week.

St. Louis County

County towns handle electronics through their own haulers and drop-off events. Check with yours before leaving a TV at the curb.

Every JunkRabbit Pickup

On either side of the river, the TVs and computers we collect go to electronics recyclers — never into a landfill.

Office and Home-Office Clear-Outs

Clayton alone has around 46,000 daytime workers, and every office move leaves monitors, towers, printers and cable boxes behind.

Wipe or pull the hard drives first — we don’t provide certified data destruction — then photograph the pile. Loose cables, keyboards and chargers go in the box-of-electronics price.

TV Removal FAQs

How much does TV removal cost in St. Louis?

Under 42 inches is $62, 42 to 65 inches $68, and 65 inches or more $73, each carried out and recycled.

Can I put an old TV in the trash in Illinois?

No. The Illinois EPA says covered electronics, including TVs, can’t go in regular household garbage anywhere in the state.

Do you take heavy old tube TVs?

Yes. Console and tube sets are priced by screen size, and the crew brings enough people to lift them safely.

Will you take down a wall-mounted TV?

Yes, from a standard mount. Let us know when you book so the crew brings a drill.
