Estate Cleanouts in Kirkwood
Kirkwood families often stay put for a lifetime, and the house shows it: a full attic, a full basement and a garage nobody has parked in for years. When it’s time to clear it, we price by how much of the truck it fills — half a load is $431, a full truck $732.
West of the River’s First Planned Suburb
Platted in 1852, Kirkwood calls itself the first planned suburb west of the Mississippi. Its 29,461 residents live in homes that span the 1850s through the 1950s, and its farmers market opened in 1976.
It’s also the only Amtrak stop in the metro outside the central city — handy for out-of-town family flying, or riding, in to settle an estate.
