The short answer
Every item has a flat published price, and big piles use a truck-fill tier. Common St. Louis jobs: standard sofa $126, queen mattress $103, mattress and box spring set $143, standard refrigerator $164, washer $133, dryer $128, quarter truck $241, half truck $431, full truck $732. The order minimum is $100. There is no stairs fee, no walk-up fee, no same-day surcharge, and nothing is added at checkout.
Furniture
| Item | Flat price |
|---|---|
| Sofa / Couch | $126 |
| Loveseat | $119 |
| Sleeper Sofa | $149 |
| Reclining / Power Sofa | $152 |
| Sectional Sofa (3-Piece) | $185 |
| Recliner | $98 |
| Armchair / Accent Chair | $77 |
| Dresser (Standard) | $126 |
| Chest of Drawers | $126 |
| Armoire — Large / Double (Solid Wood) | $197 |
| Cabinet / China Hutch | $160 |
| Dining Table (6-8 Seat) | $163 |
| Dining Chair | $45 |
| Desk (Standard) | $83 |
| Bookcase — Solid Wood (tall / 6ft+) | $123 |
Old St. Louis homes run heavy on solid wood. That is why the armoire, hutch and solid bookcase lines are on here: they are common in Kirkwood, Webster Groves and St. Louis Hills cleanouts. Most of them are also over the City's 100-lb bulky limit, which is why they end up on a pickup rather than in the alley.
Mattresses and beds
| Item | Flat price |
|---|---|
| Mattress — Twin | $82 |
| Mattress — Full / Double | $94 |
| Mattress — Queen | $103 |
| Mattress — King / Cal King | $114 |
| Box Spring (Any Size) | $92 |
| Mattress + Box Spring Set | $143 |
| Bed Frame (Standard / Metal / Platform) | $68 |
| Bed Frame (Solid/Upholstered/Storage) — Twin / Full / Queen | $126 |
The set price matters. A queen mattress and a box spring priced separately are $103 + $92 = $195; as a set they are $143.
Appliances
| Item | Flat price |
|---|---|
| Refrigerator (Standard) | $164 |
| Refrigerator (Side-by-Side / French Door) | $183 |
| Freezer (Chest) | $146 |
| Washer | $133 |
| Dryer | $128 |
| Stove / Oven / Range (Electric) | $134 |
| Dishwasher | $109 |
| Water Heater (Tank) | $131 |
| Window AC Unit (Small, under 8k BTU) | $87 |
| Dehumidifier | $77 |
Missouri bans major appliances from landfills, so these go to recycling. Fridges, freezers, dehumidifiers and AC units also need their refrigerant recovered under federal rules before scrapping. Many St. Louis basements hold a second fridge or an old chest freezer next to the laundry, and both are well over the City's 100-lb bulky limit. City residents can use the monthly BOAT-E appliance collection, but it does not carry anything up the basement stair; the prices above include that carry.
Electronics, outdoor and heavy items
| Item | Flat price |
|---|---|
| TV (Under 42") | $62 |
| TV (42" to 65") | $68 |
| TV (65"+) | $73 |
| Desktop Computer / Tower | $62 |
| Tires (set of 4) | $87 |
| Lawn Mower | $65 |
| Propane Grill | $123 |
| Treadmill | $115 |
| Upright Piano | $364 |
| Hot Tub / Spa | $390 |
| Yard Waste | $88 |
Rehab and old-house items
St. Louis has a lot of 19th- and early-20th-century brick housing under rehab, from Soulard and Lafayette Square to Old North St. Louis and Maplewood. These are the lines that come up most on those jobs:
| Item | Flat price |
|---|---|
| Cast Iron Radiator | $123 |
| Bathtub (cast iron) | $185 |
| Furnace | $131 |
| Full Kitchen Cabinet Set (rip-out) | $293 |
| Drywall (per sheet / small bundle) | $37 |
| Lumber / Wood Scrap (bundle) | $41 |
| Carpet — Removal (per room) | $71 |
| Construction Debris | $120 |
A bathroom gut in a Benton Park rowhouse that leaves a cast-iron tub, a detached toilet and a vanity is $185 + $64 + $69 = $318. A kitchen rip-out with the cabinet set and the old range is $293 + $134 = $427.
Truck-fill tiers for piles and cleanouts
| Load | Flat price |
|---|---|
| 1/4 truck (~4 cubic yards) | $241 |
| 3/8 truck (~6 cubic yards) | $338 |
| 1/2 truck (~8 cubic yards) | $431 |
| 5/8 truck (~10 cubic yards) | $513 |
| 3/4 truck (~12 cubic yards) | $587 |
| 7/8 truck (~14 cubic yards) | $661 |
| Full truck (~16 cubic yards) | $732 |
Tiers fit jobs where counting items makes no sense: a South City basement full of boxes, a garage in Florissant, an estate in Oakville. For a few big pieces, item prices are usually the cleaner answer.
How to read the list: worked examples
- Living room, Tower Grove South flat: sofa and armchair, $126 + $77 = $203.
- Bedroom, Richmond Heights: queen set and dresser, $143 + $126 = $269.
- Laundry room, Affton basement: washer and dryer, $133 + $128 = $261.
- Single item: one twin mattress is $82, billed at the $100 minimum. Add a dining chair: $82 + $45 = $127.
- Mixed pile: a half truck of boxes plus a washer is $431 + $133 = $564.
If your item total climbs past a tier, ask about it before you approve. A bedroom with a queen set, a metal frame, a dresser, two nightstands and a recliner is $143 + $68 + $126 + $57 + $57 + $98 = $549, which is between a 5/8 truck at $513 and a 3/4 truck at $587. There are no volume discounts. Every price is shown before you book and only changes if you approve.
What is included in every price
- Carry-out from anywhere in the home, any floor, basements included. No stairs fee.
- Loading, hauling and disposal. We recycle whatever we can.
- A two-hour arrival window you choose, 8am to midnight, seven days a week.
- Same-day pickup when you book by 4 PM.
- Vetted, insured local haulers, and a certificate of insurance for buildings emailed within one hour.
For comparison, City residents already pay a $14 per month per unit solid-waste fee that covers monthly bulky pickup of up to three items under 100 lbs and 6 ft each, set out in the alley or at the curb. Use it for what fits, and use this list for what does not. Price your own job from a photo or by picking items at the instant quote page.
Frequently asked questions
What is the minimum charge for junk removal in St. Louis?
The order minimum is $100. A single item under that, such as a twin mattress at $82, bills at $100. Adding a second small item usually makes better use of the visit.
Are prices different in the County or Illinois?
No. The same flat price list applies across the City, the County and the Metro East. There is no sales tax added in either Missouri or Illinois. Belleville is priced the same as Clayton.
Do you charge extra for stairs or basements?
No. Carry-out from any floor, including basements, is included. A dresser from a third-floor flat is $126, the same as one in a garage. There is no walk-up fee either.
How much is a full truckload?
A full truck, about 16 cubic yards, is $732. A half truck is $431 and a quarter truck $241. The tier is set from your photos before you book.
Is there a same-day surcharge?
No. Book by 4 PM for same-day pickup at the same price. Evening and weekend windows cost the same too. You pick a two-hour arrival window.
Should I use the City bulky pickup or this list?
Use both. If you live in the City, set out up to three light pieces under 100 lbs and 6 ft in the alley or at the curb by 6:00 am on the Monday of your collection week, since the $14 monthly fee already pays for it. Book the sofa, the appliances and anything still in the basement from this list. County and Metro East residents should check their own city's or district's rules first.
